The field position does not put us in a panic mode. The staff has reminded the team that our opponent has some outstanding athletes with the ability to make some big plays. It is important that we keep our composure over the course of the game. We know that they like to take advantage of their team speed. With that said, we feel we can stay in our base defense and have success. The base front consists of the tackle to the strong side lining up on the outside shoulder of the guard and controlling that gap with slight penetration. The backside tackle will line up on the inside shoulder of his guard and control his gap the same way as the frontside tackle.
