Chow Receives PACE-Setter Award
What do former college quarterbacks Steve Young, Jim McMahon, Ty
Detmer, Robbie Bosco, Philip Rivers, and Carson Palmer have in
common. Besides being All-Americans, each one was coached by
Norm Chow, Offensive Coordinator of the USC Trojans. One of the
premier offensive minds in college football, Chow recently received
a PACE-Setter Award, presented annually to people of ‘outstanding
accomplishment and meaningful endeavor.’
PACE (Pacific Asian Consortium in Employment) has served ethnic and cultural
constituencies in workforce development around the world and awards men and women
who are trailblazers “who strive with their courage, integrity and creativity
to demonstrate and build a community where all groups are equal.” Chow,
a Honolulu native, enters this season with another potential All-American quarterback
in junior Matt Leinhart.
