Question:
What are the advantages to non-linear editing systems?
Answer:
The two main advantages of a non-linear editing system are:
• Saving time
• Consistent, high quality video
Once the video is captured (either live directly from the camera or from a tape),
the data is entered using your own terminology. With the LRSSports system, the
video is integrated with the data, which means that after you create your customized
reports, you can click on any clip and the video will instantly play. You can
then save any group of clips and create a new cut-up on tape or DVD. These same
reports can also be instantly printed and used for analysis during practice or
carried on the sideline during the game.
Because the video has been digitized on the computer, any and all reproductions
are all “first generation” so the quality of the video will never
degrade.
With the LRSSports solution, data can be entered on a handheld computer then
imported directly into the system thus saving time not having to complete a call
sheet then enter later into the computer.
With the LRSSports system, titles can be automatically generated and then inserted
between video clips for easy identification.
With the LRSSports system, you will spend less time on video chores and more
time coaching... and isn’t that why they call you coach! |
