2000 College Coordinators of the Year

Every season we highlight the men behind the scenes, the coordinators who direct some of the finest units in the country. By recognizing the annual coordinators of the year, we shed the glare of the spotlight on the offensive gurus, who design schemes that leave their opponents confounded and devastated, and the defensive scientists, who discover the cure for the newest forms of offensive schemes that drive some coaches to the insurance business.

In the year 2000, our winners included two repeat winners (North Carolina A&T defensive coordinator Wayne Hicks at the I-AA level, and Georgetown College offensive coordinator Craig Mullins was OC of the year in NAIA). While at the NCAA Division I-A level, both winners were rewarded for their excellence by being named the head coach at their school after the former coach left for greener ($$) ....The full article can only be seen by subscribers.
