Fast Facts On Fast FoodEating healthy at fast-food restaurants isn\'t impossible. It just requires some thought.© More from this issue Let's face it, most football players aren't sitting around training tables at meal times. Most are standing in line at fast-food restaurants debating whether they want the No. 3 or No. 4 and whether they should super-size it or not. So what's a coach to do to help his or her athletes eat healthy? Well, for starters educate them. This chart, produced by health educators at the University of Illinois, clearly shows that while a lot of fast-food is good for little more than producing fat and zits, some of it is acceptable. The chart shows which is, which isn't and why. According to the American Heart Association, only 30 percent of the calories a person consumes a day should be from fat.
